Life's a Beach

I was inspired by Katie Denham's latest beach blog(s) so I thought I would take you to the beach today, if only virtually, and hopefully inspire you with some accessories to splash around your own home to bring the beach to you, minus the sand....
Is there anything else to add?

No sea urchins were harmed in the making of this lamp, I love the shape of it don't you?

Adding a coral rug to any room is a great idea.

Nothing says beach like a shell full of shells....I think bringing out your shell collection and setting them out for the summer is a great idea.  If you don't have a collection yet what better time than to start now...

These are a study of seaweed...Seaweed never looked good...

Mirror mirror on the wall, who is the beachiest of them all?

Great way to add a little beach to your home with a door knocker.

I think these pillows are great, especially that squid, unexpected fun!

There is something about hurricanes, lanterns that is, that I just love.  They set a perfect "beach" scene and keep your candles from flickering out when that evening breeze blows by.

These bathroom accessories have a nice spa feel that have a bit of "beach" to them too without being fully beachy, if that makes sense...

Hand blown colored glass such as these always feel beachy to me and I love the colors of these.

Real shells polished up and showcased on coral stands.  I wonder if you put your ear up to them you can hear the ocean...

Adding a beach book or two to your coffee table in summer is a great way to visit the beach especially if you aren't near a beach.  This particular book has beautiful illustrations of Nantucket.

This dinnerware is melamine.  Worry free with style....It's not only lightweight it's shatterproof too, perfect for your outdoor occasions.

Who doesn't need some sea creatures to add a little whimsy to your home in summer, these are great, I see them guarding some books on a bookshelf or a coffee table don't you?

Needless to say I have beach on the brain!

I love all the shell inspired decor you shared here. I especially love that large shell (with shells in it!). Love to use them in bathrooms with bath decor in them.
